Probiotics are live microorganisms that can be consumed through food or supplements. They promote a healthy balance of gut bacteria.

 

Prebiotics are a type of non-digestible fiber that serve as food for beneficial bacteria. They nourish and support the growth of live microbiota (like probiotics). Simply put, prebiotics feed and nourish probiotics.

 

A synbiotic combines non-digestible fibers, or prebiotics, with probiotics, the beneficial bacteria that colonize the gut. Conveniently packaged in a single synbiotic formula, these probiotics and prebiotics work synergistically together to support the complex garden of the gastrointestinal tract, both planting the seed (the probiotics) and providing the fertilizer (the prebiotics) that promote the healthy functioning of the microbiome with whole-body benefits.

 

FODMAP stands for Fermentable Oligo-, Di-, Mono-saccharides And Polyols. These are a group of short-chain carbohydrates that are poorly absorbed. If you experience GI discomfort, our FODMAP-compliant synbiotic is gentle on your system and helps relieve discomfort, without sensitivity or tolerance issues.

 

Ther-Biotic® Synbiotic combines seven targeted strains of high-quality probiotics with one FODMAP-compliant prebiotic called Sunfiber®.

 

Sunfiber® is partially hydrolyzed guar gum. It is the first fiber and first stand-alone ingredient to become FODMAP Certified. Rather than being a starch- or sugar-based prebiotic, it’s water-soluble and gentle and effective for those with sensitive GI systems.

Sunfiber® is a prebiotic for supporting digestive health and microflora balance. It is FODMAP Certified, tasteless, colorless, odorless, gluten free, and 100% water-soluble.
