Medicines metabolised by the liver like Cytochrome P450 2B6 (CYP2B6) substrates and Cytochrome P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) substrates interacts with Astaxanthin. Astaxanthin might change how quickly the liver breaks down these medicines. This could change the effects and side effects of these medicines.
