Bacopa monnieri in history
Bacopa monnieri, also known as Brahmi, is a small creeping herb found throughout the Indian subcontinent.
It has been used in Ayurvedic medicine for almost 3000 years.7 Throughout this time, it has been associated with a variety of health benefits including heightened learning capacity, promoting memory and concentration, as a nerve tonic and to support cardiovascular health. 7
It is the memory and learning effects of Bacopa that have attracted the most attention in the last few decades and, in doing so, have become the subject of much clinical research.
